ACF Urges Tinubu Government to Prioritize Security

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has issued a critical statement addressing the Tinubu government's handling of Nigeria's security crisis, which has escalated into a multifaceted conflict involving insurgency, banditry, and communal clashes. The ACF emphasizes that the language of war is appropriate given the staggering human cost, including hundreds of thousands killed and displaced.

The forum argues that Nigeria cannot continue to treat security as merely a policy challenge, advocating for a significant reordering of national priorities to focus on restoring security. This includes redirecting financial and administrative resources towards security efforts, as the ongoing violence severely disrupts agricultural productivity and threatens the economy.
