ACOMIN harps on community-led monitoring to tame malaria in Ogun

ACOMIN in Ogun State is emphasizing the importance of community-led monitoring to combat malaria. The Civil Society Malaria Control Immunisation Nutrition group revealed their dedication to ending malaria through a community-led monitoring project.

ACOMIN's State Program Officer, Akintayo Akinpelu, shared this information during a meeting in Abeokuta, attended by representatives from various local government areas. The goal is to reinforce the CLM model to enhance the state's health system, particularly in terms of HIV, TB, and malaria services.

The community mobilization officer from OGSACA commended the civil society's efforts and stressed the need for sustainability. Other health officials highlighted the importance of community involvement, accountability, and feedback to improve healthcare services.

The unified approach aims to empower communities to monitor service delivery and drive systemic improvements.
