IGP Disu Urges Law-Abiding Behavior During Ramadan

Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Disu called on Nigerians, particularly those of the Muslim faith, to remain law-abiding during the holy month of Ramadan. This appeal was made at the headquarters mosque in Abuja following a Juma service, where he spoke about the significance of Ramadan as a period for spiritual reflection and obedience to divine and civil authorities.

Disu expressed gratitude to the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) for their support to the Nigeria Police Force, highlighting the committee's role in distributing food items to police families during Ramadan. Chief Imam of the headquarters mosque, Alhassan Yakub, praised the PCRC for their contributions and emphasized the moral benefits of fasting, which cultivates discipline and self-restraint.

The PCRC, led by National Chairman Alhaji Mogaji Olaniyan, has a tradition of supporting police personnel during Ramadan and Christmas, reinforcing their commitment to boosting morale and strengthening partnerships with the police.
