Actor Baba Ijesha Released from Prison After Alleged Sexual Assault

Nigerian actor Baba Ijesha, whose real name is Olanrewaju Omiyinka, has regained his freedom after being released from prison on November 14, 2025. He had spent three years in custody following allegations of sexual assault.

The announcement of his release was made by actor Yomi Fabiyi on Instagram, who expressed happiness over the court's decision to clear Baba Ijesha. Previously, Baba Ijesha had been sentenced to 16 years in prison by the Lagos State High Court for the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.
