Baba Johunomi Urges Early Cancer Detection in Video

Musiliu Dasofunjo, a veteran Nollywood actor popularly known as Baba Johunomi, has publicly shared his battle with prostate cancer in a video posted by fellow actor Kunle Afod on Facebook. In the video, Baba Johunomi advised the public to pay attention to health symptoms, reflecting on his own experience.

He recounted that he first noticed a change in his urine, describing a splitting urine stream that sprayed in different directions. Initially, he did not take these symptoms seriously, which he later regretted.

After experiencing further difficulties with urination, he sought medical advice and underwent various tests and scans. He was referred to the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, where specialists suggested a surgical procedure to conduct an advanced cancer test.

Baba Johunomi expressed his fears about undergoing surgery, stating he could not allow doctors to cut parts of his body for testing. He emphasized the rising incidence of cancer and the need for early detection.
