Adesiyan Withdraws from Oyo Reps Race for Development Focus

Nollywood actress and politician Adesiyan has officially stepped down from her bid for the House of Representatives seat representing Ibadan South East in Oyo State. She announced her decision in a letter dated April 24, 2026, addressed to the chairman of the Progressive Congress (APC) in the Ibadan South East local government area.

The letter was made public via her Facebook page on Saturday. In her note, Adesiyan stated that her decision was made after careful consideration and expressed appreciation for the support she received from party members and stakeholders across the constituency.

She explained that stepping down would allow her to refocus her efforts and continue contributing to societal development through alternative channels. Despite her withdrawal from the contest, Adesiyan reaffirmed her dedication to the growth and development of Oyo State, Nigeria.
