Doris Ogala Promises to Seek Nnamdi Kanu's Release

Doris Ogala, the Nollywood actress and African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate for Abia State, expressed strong support for Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). In an interview with ABN TV, Ogala referred to Kanu as a “messiah” and a “prophet,” asserting that many of his warnings have come to fruition.

As the 2027 Abia governorship election approaches, she announced that one of her first actions, if victorious, would be to seek Kanu’s pardon and work towards securing his release. Ogala emphasized that the AAC does not support Kanu’s continued detention and is fully behind him.

She also appealed to the President to reconsider Kanu’s imprisonment. Ogala expressed confidence that under a Sowore presidency, Kanu’s freedom would be pursued, indicating that Kanu’s continued detention would be a significant issue in her campaign.
