Adamawa APC Screens 115 Aspirants for Assembly Primaries

The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has screened 115 aspirants for the upcoming Assembly primaries scheduled for next Wednesday. Victor Dogo, the state public secretary of the APC, confirmed that the aspirants have purchased their nomination forms.

The party is preparing to conduct direct primaries, emphasizing that it will not involve consensus candidates unless aspirants voluntarily decide to step down. The political atmosphere in Adamawa State is tense, with various factions supporting different candidates.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri's cabinet members are reportedly backing Salihu Mustapha, while Nuhu Ribadu's support group is aligned with Tijani Galadima. Fintiri recently unveiled his preferred governorship candidate, stating that the party will mobilize resources to support the chosen candidate in the forthcoming general elections.

The APC aims for a transparent primary process, with the consensus arrangement being strictly business-oriented.
