Adamawa Assembly Confirms Three Commissioners After Resignation

The Adamawa State House of Assembly confirmed three commissioner-nominees after Adamu Atiku, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, resigned from his position. The confirmation occurred during a plenary session presided over by Speaker Bathiya Weslei.

The nominees, Sali Idri from Maiha Local Government Area, Muham Suleiman from Mubi North Local Government Area, and Chubado Moham from Jada Local Government Area, were forwarded by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. The screening process was conducted to ensure the nominees possess the necessary qualifications and experience to serve the people effectively.

Adamu Atiku's resignation was reportedly due to political developments within the state, as Governor Fintiri defected to the Rule Progress Congress, while Atiku chose to remain with the People's Democratic Party. The newly confirmed commissioners are expected to be sworn in on a date to be announced.
