Nasarawa Governor Endorses Wadada for 2027 Election

On Thursday, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State endorsed Ahmad Wadada as the preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship election during a meeting with political appointees at the Government House in Lafia. Sule described Wadada as embodying the "Muje Maha" spirit that guides his administration's approach to governance and political inclusivity.

The governor explained that the process of identifying a successor involved extensive consultations beyond the state's boundaries, including discussions with foreign investors, youth groups, and traditional rulers. However, former Inspector General of Police Abubakar Adamu, who has also declared his intention to contest the governorship, stated that he does not recognize Sule's endorsement and vowed to run against Wadada.

Adamu emphasized the importance of equitable distribution of political positions within the state. Sule urged unity among party members to support the preferred candidate and expressed confidence in President Bola Tinubu's performance in Nasarawa State.
