Adamu and Wadada Seek APC Governorship Ticket in Nasarawa

Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, a former Inspector General of Police, and Aliyu Wadada, a senator, have both purchased nomination forms to contest for the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State for the upcoming 2027 elections. The forms were obtained from the APC national secretariat on April 28, 2026.

Musa Husseini, the Director General of Adamu's campaign organization, confirmed the purchase and expressed Adamu's intention to contest. Wadada, who is endorsed by the current governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, also expressed interest in the nomination.

The APC has scheduled its primary elections for May 21, 2026, and the party guidelines require aspirants to purchase forms to be eligible for participation, either through consensus or direct primaries.
