ADC Accuses EFCC Of Being APC Hit Squad

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of acting as a political hit squad for the ruling Progressives Congress (APC). The ADC's national publicity secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, criticized the EFCC for conducting selective investigations and targeting members of the opposition party.

Abdullahi stated that the EFCC's recent actions erode public trust in the institution and undermine the real fight against corruption, turning it into a political enforcer. The ADC spokesperson highlighted instances where opposition figures were summoned by the EFCC in what they believe to be politically motivated cases.

The ADC called on Nigerians, civil society organizations, and independent media to resist this misuse of public institutions for partisan objectives, emphasizing that the EFCC should work impartially and not be aligned with any political party.
