ADC Mentions Tambuwal, Other Coalition Leaders, EFCC is Investigating

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the federal government of using the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to target opposition leaders, including Bolaji Abdullahi and Aminu Tambuwal. The ADC claimed that the EFCC is conducting a politically motivated investigation into Abdullahi and Tambuwal, alleging fraudulent cash withdrawals and unauthorized use of public funds during their respective tenures as governors.

Tambuwal, a prominent figure in the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP), was reportedly detained by the EFCC for questioning. The ADC spokesperson also mentioned that other coalition leaders, such as Emeka Ihedioha, are being targeted in what they believe is an attempt to discredit and harass the opposition.

The investigation into Tambuwal's alleged financial misconduct has raised concerns among political analysts about the impact on his presidential ambitions and the chances of the coalition movement in the 2023 elections.
