ADC Claims Wike's Presence Intimidates Voters in FCT

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has alleged that the presence of Nyesom Wike at polling units in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) constitutes voter intimidation. Bolaji Abdullahi, the party's national publicity secretary, argued that Wike's movements during the electoral process could unduly influence voters and create an atmosphere of fear.

Abdullahi emphasized that Wike, a serving cabinet minister, is not a registered voter in the FCT, thus questioning his role in the electoral process. The ADC further claimed to have received reports of voter suppression and intimidation in the FCT, alleging collaboration between agents of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and certain security personnel.

Additionally, the party raised concerns regarding disruptions to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)'s result viewing portal, noting that the platform was inaccessible for result collation. The ADC urged INEC to restore full functionality to the portal and called for calm among its agents during the electoral process.
