ADC Warns Wike Against Threats to Tinubu's Presidency

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has issued a warning to Nyesom Wike regarding his recent remarks that threaten to undermine support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's coalition. Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC's National Public Secretary, condemned Wike's statements as a declaration of war against anti-Tinubu candidates, labeling them as reckless and inflammatory.

The ADC emphasized that such rhetoric could exacerbate political tensions and undermine democratic stability in Nigeria, especially as the nation grapples with significant economic hardship and insecurity. The ADC insisted that the outcome of the elections scheduled for February 21, 2026, should be determined by the Nigerian people, not by threats or intimidation.

They vowed to resist any efforts to subvert the democratic process and highlighted that Nigeria is not a battlefield for political vendettas. The ADC called on Wike to refrain from adding to the crises facing the country.
