ADC Appoints Oyegun, Utomi, Others to Policy Committee for Nation-Building

The African Democrat Congress (ADC) has appointed a 50-member Policy and Manifesto Committee, with John Odigie Oyegun as Chairman, Pat Utomi as Deputy Chairman, and Salihu Lukman as Secretary. The committee, approved by ADC National Chairman David Mark, will focus on building a progressive policy framework for the nation.

The diverse committee members, including prominent figures from various sectors, will work towards social development, security, democratic reforms, and economic management. The committee's formal inauguration is scheduled for February 2, 2026, at the ADC National Secretariat.

This move comes amidst preparations for the 2027 elections, with Peter Obi's presidential aspirations facing internal party challenges within the ADC. The party officials have warned against divisive tactics that could hinder the party's success.
