ADC Candidate Najeem Salaam Critiques Labor Division in Osun

Najeem Salaam, the governorship candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Osun State, condemned the divisions within the labor movement, attributing them to the actions of the Accord Party and the All Progressives Congress (APC). In a statement signed by Segun Olanibi, the Director General of the ADC governorship campaign council, Salaam expressed concern over the unrest within the labor unions in the state.

He noted that a faction of the labor movement had emerged, allegedly aligning with different political interests, which he described as unhealthy and detrimental to workers' welfare. Salaam urged workers to resist attempts to divide them along political lines and assured that an ADC-led government would respect and protect labor unions from political interference.

He committed to restoring unity within the labor movement and prioritizing workers' welfare, including ensuring prompt payment of salaries and pensions, and establishing a transparent system for engaging labor bodies.
