ADC Candidate Najeem Salaam Condemns Political Violence

Najeem Salaam, the governorship candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Osun State, expressed deep concern over the increasing political violence in the state as the August 15, 2026, governorship election approaches. During a campaign tour in Ayedir Olaoluwa Local Government Area, Salaam described reports of violent attacks in Osogbo as disturbing and unacceptable.

He warned that escalating political tension threatens peace and stability in the state. Salaam emphasized that no political ambition is worth the blood of citizens and that the lives of voters should not be sacrificed for electoral success.

He called on politicians and stakeholders to conduct themselves peacefully and uphold values of love, unity, and mutual respect as the election draws near. Salaam condemned recent incidents of political unrest and violence, which have resulted in severe injuries and property destruction, and urged security agencies to thoroughly investigate these occurrences and bring perpetrators to justice.

He reaffirmed his commitment to a campaign focused on peace and progress above partisan interests.
