ADC Candidate Rejects AMAC Election Results Over Irregularities

Dr. Mose Paul, the candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) chairmanship election, publicly rejected the election results during a press conference in Abuja on Monday.

He alleged that the electoral process was marred by significant irregularities, including voter intimidation and restricted movement due to imposed curfews. Paul emphasized that the declared results did not represent the true will of Abuja residents, highlighting the tragic circumstances surrounding the election, including the death of Musa Abubakar at the Gwagwa polling unit.

The Obedient Movement also expressed deep dissatisfaction with the election outcome, accusing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of contributing to voter apathy and failing to provide proper notice of changes to polling units. Both Paul and the Obedient Movement called for a review of the electoral process, asserting that the integrity of democracy must be upheld and that ordinary people should not accept a compromised future.
