Small Business Owners Back Dr. Mose Paul for AMAC Chair

The Small Business Owners Initiative (SBOI) in Abuja has officially endorsed Dr. Mose Paul as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) Chairmanship election, set for February 21, 2026.

This endorsement was announced in a press statement signed by Gift Adaji, CEO of Akara Xpress Abuja. The group highlighted Dr.

Paul's vision for AMAC, which aligns with the aspirations of small business owners and entrepreneurs across the council area. They emphasized the critical role that small businesses play in Nigeria's economy, accounting for nearly half of the nation's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and employing 80 percent of the workforce.

Despite the challenges faced by small business owners, such as limited access to affordable finance and inadequate infrastructure, the group believes Dr. Paul’s commitment to creating an enabling environment will be transformative for the local economy.

They called on stakeholders and residents to support Dr. Paul’s vision to unlock the full potential of the sector.
