ADC Chapters Reject Lawsuit, Support David Mark's Leadership

The Imo and River State chapters of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have publicly disowned a lawsuit filed against the party's national leadership, led by David Mark. The lawsuit, reportedly initiated by a faction represented by Nafiu, was described as unauthorized and not reflective of the collective position of the party.

Both chapters issued separate statements emphasizing that neither their state structures nor executives had consulted on any legal action. They warned that such litigation could create unnecessary confusion within the party and reaffirmed their loyalty to Mark's leadership.

The River State chapter specifically highlighted its commitment to internal democracy and the rule of law, cautioning individuals against pursuing personal legal actions on behalf of the party. The chapters expressed concern that the lawsuit seeks to challenge the legitimacy of the current leadership, which could undermine ongoing efforts to strengthen the party in preparation for future political activities, particularly the 2027 general elections.
