Amaechi Named Running Mate for Atiku in 2027 Elections

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced that Rotimi Amaechi will be the running mate to Atiku Abubakar, the party's presidential candidate for the 2027 elections. This decision was made following extensive consultations within the party, reflecting Amaechi's strong performance as a runner in the party's presidential primaries.

Amaechi has a notable political background, having served as the former Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, two-term Governor of Rivers State, and former Minister of Transport. His extensive experience across legislative and executive arms of government is seen as a unique qualification that will complement Atiku's leadership and strengthen the party's national appeal.
