Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi Obtain ADC Nomination Forms

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, and Rotimi Amaechi, a former Minister of Transport, have both acquired presidential nomination forms from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the upcoming 2027 general elections, with each form costing N90 million. The announcement was made on a Saturday, and the forms were officially received at the ADC national secretariat in Abuja.

This event signifies a notable moment for the ADC as it seeks to grow its movement towards a people-driven leadership. Atiku Abubakar's nomination form was presented on a Monday, while Amaechi collected his form on behalf of former Rivers State Governor John Oyegun, who is also the former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Other notable figures present during the form collection included former Minister of Environment Mohammed Abdullahi and former Senator Nura Abatemi. The ADC's timeline for the primary elections includes the sale of nomination forms from May 6 to May 13, with screening scheduled for May 14 and results to be announced on May 17.
