Atiku Abubakar Wins ADC Presidential Primary for 2027

Atiku Abubakar has been declared the winner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary election for the 2027 polls, with a total of 1,855,787 votes. The announcement was made by Tund Ogbeha, the returning officer for the ADC presidential primary, on Wednesday night.

The primary election results were finalized after a nationwide exercise that resumed on Tuesday night, following an adjournment. Atiku maintained a significant lead over his closest rival, Rotimi Amaechi, who received 509,397 votes, and Moham Hayatu-Deen, who secured 180,903 votes.

The total votes cast in the election amounted to 2,546,457. Atiku won in most states, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), while Amaechi and Hayatu-Deen had victories in a few states.
