De Rainbow Event Centre Denies Wike's License Threat

The management of De Rainbow Event Centre in Abuja, represented by Martina K. Yusuf, denied reports that Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, threatened to revoke its operating license for hosting the African Democratic Congress (ADC) national convention on April 14.

Yusuf clarified that the venue had not received any such threat and urged the public to disregard the unverified claims circulating in the media. The controversy arose following allegations that the ADC leadership, including former Senate President David Mark, faced pressure to withdraw the venue's services.

ADC spokesperson Bolaji Abdullahi confirmed that the party would proceed with the convention as scheduled, emphasizing their financial obligations and formal agreements with the venue. The management of De Rainbow Event Centre reiterated its commitment to providing a secure environment for events, dismissing the claims as unfounded and highlighting the importance of trust in their business operations.
