Court Adjourns Nafiu Bala's Suit Against David Mark

The Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned the suit filed by Nafiu Bala against David Mark and other leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) until June 30. The matter was initially called but was not processed earlier due to the absence of Mr.

Suleiman Usman, SAN, counsel for Mark. Justice Peter Lifu stood down the proceedings for 15 minutes to allow Usman to arrive.

However, the case ended with Justice Lifu standing down the proceedings again, and the lawyers were asked to wait for a new date. The court fixed June 16 for a hearing on pending applications, including a motion seeking to dismiss the case and another motion requesting Justice Lifu to recuse himself.

The suit involves allegations that Mark and Aregbesola, as members of the interim national working committee, breached provisions of the party's constitution and the Electoral Act. The suit is registered as FHC/ABJ/CS/1819/2025.
