APC Criticizes David Mark Faction for Illegality

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the David Mark-led faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) of pursuing illegality in their leadership claims. During a press conference in Abuja, APC's National Secretary, Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, stated that the court's decision binds the party until overturned and criticized the ADC for allegedly misinterpreting a court order.

Basiru asserted that the APC cannot be blamed for the ADC's internal crises and emphasized the importance of adhering to the rule of law. He warned that the actions of the Mark faction could be declared null and void by the court, and he dismissed calls for the removal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) chairman, Joash Amupitan, as lacking understanding of the constitutional processes governing appointments.

Basiru reiterated that the APC remains committed to democratic principles and will not be distracted by the ADC's internal struggles.
