Nafiu Gombe Responds to Suspension by ADC Faction

Nafiu Gombe, the faction chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), publicly addressed the media on Friday concerning his alleged suspension by a faction led by David Mark. Gombe criticized the actions of the Mark-led faction, stating that they do not possess the authority to suspend him, particularly as the matter is currently under judicial consideration.

He emphasized that the disciplinary actions purportedly taken by the Mark faction are invalid and reiterated that the ADC does not recognize such actions. Additionally, Leke Abejide, a member of the House of Representatives, reacted to the suspension, supporting Gombe's stance.

The ADC has been experiencing internal political conflicts, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has stripped David Mark of his position as the national chairman of the party, further complicating the situation.
