Nafiu Bala's Resignation Letter Surfaces Amid ADC Crisis

An alleged resignation letter from Nafiu Bala, a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), surfaced online during a leadership crisis within the party. The letter, dated May 18, 2025, states that Bala resigned from his position on the national working committee, effective May 26, 2025.

The resignation aims to facilitate a smooth restructuring within the party. Bala's letter, addressed to the national chairman of ADC, Ralph Okei Nwosu, clarifies that his resignation does not equate to an exit from the party, and he intends to serve in a future capacity.

The letter was also submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Abuja. The ADC confirmed the receipt and acceptance of Bala's resignation, which is documented in INEC's records.

The situation has emerged amid heightened tensions within the ADC leadership, coinciding with INEC's announcement of the removal of names of other prominent party members from its official portal.
