ADC Denies Talks with PRP, Reaffirms Coalition Integrity

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) issued a statement denying reports suggesting that it was in talks with the People's Redemption Party (PRP) concerning leadership disputes ahead of an expected court judgment. ADC spokesman Bolaji Abdullah clarified that the claims were false and reaffirmed the party's commitment to its coalition.

He stated that the ADC has not engaged in discussions with any political party at this time and emphasized their focus on ensuring that illegal actions against their leadership are addressed. Abdullah expressed confidence in the judiciary to uphold democracy and resist pressures that undermine Nigeria's democratic institutions.

He also noted the ADC's openness to broader political collaboration while maintaining their current coalition intact, dismissing any speculation about potential defections from the party amidst ongoing legal challenges related to its leadership.
