ADC Lifts Suspension of Adamawa Caretaker Chairman

The North East Executive Committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially lifted the suspension of Sadiq Ibrahim Dasin, who serves as the chairman of the Caretaker Committee in Adamawa State. The suspension was initially enacted on August 18, 2026, during a meeting of the party's executive committee and stakeholders, citing allegations of maladministration and misconduct.

This decision was communicated to the ADC’s National Secretariat and acknowledged on August 19, 2026. However, in a letter dated August 24, 2026, signed by Mr. Daniel M.

Bwala, the National Vice Chairman in charge of the North East Zone, the committee stated that while they received a petition against Dasin, they found that due process was not followed in the suspension, which contradicts the provisions of the party’s constitution.
