ADC Confirms Omar Suleiman as Adamawa Governorship Candidate

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has addressed ongoing rumors about the possible replacement of its Adamawa State governorship candidate, Omar Suleiman, also known as Omrana. Initially, speculation suggested that Abdulrahman Haske, a former aspirant from the All Progressives Congress (APC), would replace Suleiman.

However, after Haske's return to the APC, new rumors emerged that Alhaji Tukur Modibbo would take over as the ADC candidate. Suleiman Adamu Jimeta, a founding member of the ADC in Adamawa State, publicly refuted these claims on Tuesday, labeling them as false and potentially damaging to the party.

He emphasized that no official communication regarding such a change had been made and reaffirmed that Omar Suleiman remains the party's legitimate candidate, having worked diligently to gain the support of ADC members. Jimeta warned that the rumors could lead to confusion and internal division, jeopardizing the party's prospects in the upcoming 2027 elections.

As of Tuesday evening, the ADC had not issued any statement confirming any changes to its governorship ticket.
