ADC Candidate Omar Urges Atiku to Stop Interference

Alhaji Suleiman Omar, the embattled governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State, has publicly called on former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to cease his interference in the party's activities. During a press conference in Yola, Omar expressed his shock at Atiku's announcement of Alhaji Modibbo as the ADC gubernatorial candidate, labeling it unconstitutional.

Omar asserted that he is the authentic candidate, having won the party's primary election supervised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He emphasized that his name was duly submitted to INEC and has sought a court injunction to prevent any substitution of his candidacy.

Omar criticized the potential undermining of democratic processes and urged ADC members and the public to remain calm and vigilant as he intends to defend his mandate through lawful means until the court resolves the matter.
