ADC Chairman Nafi U. Bala Denies Life Threat Claims

Nafi U. Bala, the factional chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), publicly denied allegations regarding threats to his life, which arose amidst the party's internal crises.

In a statement released on a Sunday, Bala expressed regret over the escalating political disagreements within the party, stating that the situation had become uncontrollable. He characterized the reports of life threats as false and malicious, aimed at damaging his integrity.

Bala emphasized that he had neither granted interviews nor authorized anyone to speak on his behalf regarding the issue. He also distanced himself from the leadership dispute following the resignation of former national chairman Ralph Nwosu on July 2, 2025.

Bala dismissed the claims as baseless, intended to stir public sympathy and undermine his position. He acknowledged the departure of Leke Abejide from the party as a significant loss but reaffirmed his commitment to seeking justice through the courts, maintaining that he would not withdraw his case from the Federal High Court.
