ADC Launches Membership Drive, Sees Surge in South-South

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has initiated a nationwide membership registration and revalidation exercise, reporting a significant increase in membership interest in the South-South zone, which includes Edo, Delta, Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River states. Mabel Oboh, the ADC South-South Zonal Public Secretary, emphasized the importance of this mobilization effort, which aims to build grassroots support and provide a credible political alternative.

The Deputy National Chairman, Senator Andrew Uchendu, described the membership registration initiative as a strategic pillar for the party's national expansion. The ADC is committed to ensuring inclusivity, particularly for persons with disabilities, as highlighted by Dr.

Chike Okogwu. The youth's involvement is also a focal point, with Bright Honda stressing the need for young people to engage in political processes.

The ADC plans to formally inaugurate state membership registration committees in Abuja on February 12, 2026, marking a significant step towards strengthening its grassroots coordination.
