ADC Announces Congress Timetable and Convention Date

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has unveiled its nationwide congress timetable, with ward congresses scheduled to commence on April 7, followed by local government congresses on April 9 and state congresses on April 11. The national convention is set for April 14 in Abuja.

Mr. Bolaji Abdullahi, the party's spokesman, disclosed these details during a press briefing after a successful National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on Wednesday in Abuja. Abdullahi clarified that the upcoming convention is not an electoral event but aims to ratify decisions made by the NEC and the National Working Committee (NWC) during the last convention cycle.

The meeting, attended by all NEC members, was described as a success, with emphasis on unity and discipline among party members. Sen. David Mark, the ADC's national chairman, highlighted the importance of grassroots engagement and urged members to prioritize collective interests over personal ambitions to strengthen the party's appeal across Nigeria.
