ADC's Kenneth Okonkwo Highlights Party's Viability

Kenneth Okonkwo, a legal practitioner and member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), appeared on Channels TV on Friday to assert that the ADC does not depend on government resources to attract members. He emphasized that the ADC is a viable opposition party in Nigeria, distinct from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Okonkwo noted that while the ADC does not control federal power, it is emerging as a significant platform for opposition leaders seeking to challenge the ruling party. He mentioned that members from other parties, including the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP), are expected to defect to the ADC as it grows in appeal.

Okonkwo described the ADC's political platform as a means to pursue aspirations for a "new Nigeria," highlighting the party's commitment to uniting opposition forces against the current government.
