Atiku Abubakar Wins ADC Presidential Primary in Yobe

In the ADC presidential primary held in Yobe State, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar emerged victorious, securing 44,841 votes. The results were announced by Hajiya Ma Kyari, the chairperson of the electoral committee, who confirmed that Atiku received the highest number of valid votes cast.

Other candidates included Rotimi Chibuk Amechi, who garnered 300 votes, and Moham Hayatudeen, who received 365 votes. Hajiya Kyari praised the party members and security agencies for ensuring a peaceful and orderly electoral process.

Kassim Geidam, the ADC governorship candidate for Yobe State, described the primary as a peaceful success and expressed satisfaction with the level of participation and cooperation among party members. He acknowledged the role of traditional rulers and stakeholders in promoting peace and maintaining neutrality throughout the electoral exercise.
