Atiku Abubakar: ADC Candidacy Shows Democracy Thrives

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated that his emergence reflects the vitality of democracy in Nigeria. He addressed the ADC's commitment to restoring democracy, which he believes is under threat from the current administration led by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Atiku highlighted the importance of allowing party members to express their views and contest elections through a free, fair, and transparent process. He criticized the APC government for its oppressive tactics against opposition figures, citing the detention of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, a distinguished public servant and former governor of Kaduna State, despite a court order granting bail.
