ADC Updates Committee Lists Ahead of April 2026 Convention

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) announced the release of updated committee lists in preparation for its national convention, which is set to take place on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. The statement was issued by Bolaji Abdullahi, the party's national publicity secretary, and aims to strengthen coordination and ensure a credible convention.

The ADC has urged committee members to diligently fulfill their responsibilities and called for stakeholder support throughout the process. The updated lists were approved by Chinedu Idigo, the party's national organizing secretary.

Notably, the convention will be chaired by Senator Liyel Imoke, with Senator Aminu Tambuwal serving as deputy chair. This development comes amid ongoing internal leadership tensions and a standoff with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as the ADC's national leadership, led by Senator David Mark, awaits a court resolution whose hearing coincides with the convention date.

The party is focused on renewing its structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
