ADC Removes Bauchi State Chairman, Rejects Secretary's Resignation

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Bauchi State has removed its chairman, Hassan Haruna, after the expiration of a 14-day appeal suspension period. The party rejected the resignation of the secretary, Mallam Ya'u Haruna, deeming it invalid.

Haruna was accused of engaging in unconstitutional activities and responding to allegations by publishing a fake list of new local government chairmen. The ADC further stated that its national chairman, Atiku Abubakar, met with stakeholders in Abuja to discuss the party's growth.

The party emphasized the need to recognize the state party leadership and avoid further legal disciplinary actions. The party instructed Haruna to hand over to the deputy chairman, Hassan Tabla, with immediate effect.
