ADC Initiates Reconciliation in Bauchi After Court Ruling

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is taking steps to reconcile its factions in Bauchi State after a prolonged leadership crisis, which was recently addressed by a high court ruling. The court affirmed Hassan Haruna's position as the legitimate state chairman of the party.

In response, the ADC has established a reconciliation committee to address grievances and restore cohesion among its members, as stated by the Deputy State Public Secretary, Arsanu Guyaba. He described the court's judgment as a turning point that provides a legal foundation for stabilizing the party.

The ADC is urging dissenting members to return to collective work and focus on strengthening the party's internal structure in preparation for the 2027 general elections. Meanwhile, the opposing faction is considering legal options, but the ADC remains committed to dialogue and peaceful resolution of differences.

The party's leadership is shifting its attention towards grassroots mobilization strategies to enhance its performance in the upcoming electoral cycle.
