ADC Reduces Presidential Nomination Fee to N90 Million

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) announced adjustments to its 2026 primary election timetable, including a reduction of the presidential nomination fee to N90 million. This decision was made following consultations with party leaders and stakeholders.

The nomination form sales are scheduled from May 1 to May 4, 2026, with the submission deadline set for May 13. Aspirants will be screened on May 14 and 15, and results will be published on May 17.

The final list of candidates will be released on May 20, with an appeal period from May 18 to May 19. The party will conduct primaries for state house assemblies, house representatives, and senate seats on May 21, followed by governorship primaries on May 22 and presidential primaries on May 23.

The National Executive Committee (NEC) will meet on May 25, culminating in a special national convention on May 26 for final ratification. The ADC also maintains its concessionary policy, offering a 50% discount for youth aspirants aged 18-35 and a 25% reduction for women and persons living with disabilities.
