ADC Screens 70 Governorship Aspirants for 2027 Primaries

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) conducted a screening of over 70 governorship aspirants in Abuja in preparation for the 2027 primaries. The screening process, which took place on a Monday, was praised for its transparency and professionalism by Senator Mohan Onawo, who represents Nasarawa South and chairs the Senate Committee on Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy.

He expressed confidence in ADC's chances in the upcoming elections, particularly in Nasarawa State, citing political experience and growing public support. Former Adamawa State Governor Senator Jibrilla Bindow commended the thoroughness of the exercise, ensuring that aspirants were subject to rigorous scrutiny.

Delta State aspirant Great Ogboru emphasized the importance of equal opportunities and development initiatives for local government areas. The screening included notable figures such as former Attorney General Abubakar Malami and various state senators.

The exercise will continue with additional panels screening the remaining aspirants.
