Wike Supports INEC's Decision on ADC Leadership

Nyesom Wike, a prominent member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated his approval of the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) decision regarding the party's leadership. This statement followed INEC's removal of former Senate President David Mark and former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola from its electoral portal.

Wike emphasized that the ADC respects INEC's authority and does not recognize any faction within the party until a court resolves the matter. He reiterated that Nafiu Bala Gomb is the recognized national chairman of the ADC, asserting that the party members are pleased with INEC's stance.

The situation arises as Gomb seeks a declaration from the court regarding the party's leadership, while INEC has suspended recognition of any faction until the legal dispute is settled in the Federal High Court. Wike made these comments during a media briefing in Abuja on Friday.
