Court Approves Service of Suit Against Senator Kingibe

On Thursday, a Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice Peter Lifu, granted an order for substituted service of a suit against Senator Kingibe. The Wuse Ward Executive Committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) sought this order through counsel B.

Nenuwa, as previous attempts to serve the senator personally were unsuccessful. The court allowed the committee to serve court documents, including the original summons and motion, through alternative means.

The matter has been adjourned until April 2 for further hearing. The ADC members, including Ward Chairman Okezuo Kanayo and Secretary Isaiah Samuel, are seeking a court order to restrain Kingibe from presenting herself as a member of the party.

The motion, filed on March 13, requests the court to declare that the Wuse Ward Executive Committee has the authority to suspend members under the ADC constitution, affirming the validity of Kingibe's suspension.
