Court to Decide on Kingibe's ADC Membership Status

The Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice Peter Odo Lifu, is scheduled to deliver a ruling on April 1 regarding a legal suit that seeks to bar Senator Kingibe from participating in the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The suit, marked FHC/ABJ/CV/539/2026, was filed by members of the Wuse Ward, represented by Okezuo Godfrei Anayo, Isaiah Ojonugwa Samuel, and others.

The plaintiffs are requesting an interim injunction to prevent Kingibe from acting as a member of the ADC while the court determines the motion. They allege that Kingibe was suspended on March 10 by the Wuse Ward executive committee due to anti-party activities, which they claim followed due process as it was ratified by two-thirds of the ward executive members.

Despite her suspension, the plaintiffs assert that Kingibe has continued to act as a party member and held parallel meetings, which they argue constitutes a breach of party regulations.
