ADC Enforces Legal Representation Rules for State Chapters

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has taken steps to control party litigation by issuing a notice to all state chapters, mandating that no state chapter or officer is authorized to receive legal services or engage lawyers without written approval from the national headquarters in Abuja. The party, led by Hon.

Bolaji Abdullahi, warned that any breach of this directive would result in disciplinary action as per the party's constitution. The notice specifies that only the national legal advisor has the authority to instruct legal practitioners to represent the party in legal proceedings.

Furthermore, it was emphasized that any court processes served to state chapters without proper authorization would not be recognized as valid. The ADC expects strict compliance with this directive to avoid compromising the party's legal position and to prevent unauthorized engagement of legal practitioners.
