ADC Launches International Network for Democratic Engagement

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) announced the establishment of an international representatives network to strengthen its international engagement and promote democratic accountability in Nigeria. The initiative, revealed by Bolaji Abdullahi, the party's national publicity secretary, aims to create structured communication channels with influential international stakeholders, particularly in countries prioritizing democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.

This announcement comes amid ongoing leadership disputes within the ADC, which began in July 2025 following the resignation of former national chairman Ralph Okei Nwosu. The party is now led by a national working committee headed by former Senate President David Mark and former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

The ADC's initiative also includes the establishment of a national document system to systematically collect incidents affecting political participation across Nigeria, addressing threats, harassment, and violence against political activities.
