ADC Urges APC to Focus on National Issues, Not Personalities

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has urged the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by President Bola Tinubu, to cease its focus on personal attacks against its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. In a statement by ADC National Publicity Secretary Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party emphasized that the APC should prioritize addressing Nigeria's escalating poverty, insecurity, and cost of living.

The ADC criticized the APC for deflecting from its record by attacking individuals instead of responding to concerns about the economy and security. The statement highlighted that during President Obasanjo's administration, with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as Vice President, Nigeria experienced significant economic growth and stability.

The ADC questioned the APC's management of national debt, noting that 69% of government revenue is spent on servicing debts, which the World Bank deems dangerously high. The ADC called for the upcoming elections to focus on the experiences of Nigerians rather than personal opinions.
